Coffee time brings together the ladies of Shafter, Wasco and even Bakersfield this next Tuesday to begin another year of Community Bible Study. There may even be snacks, too. In the 1990s, the City of Shafter annexed a large portion of land into the city limits just south of Seventh Standard Road. In the early 1980s, Kern County got some buses. Kern Regional Transit called the route that services Bakersfield to Delano and back North Kern Express, but now it's simply Route 110.
