Frankie Irene Siemens, a resident of Shafter, passed away peacefully on Feb. 9, 2019, having reached her 96th birthday in January. The Shafter varsity basketball team took on Kennedy on Feb. 4 in a very intense game that the Generals ended up losing, 77-72.
