    Andrew Pompa, a member of the Shafter High Class of 2019, recently completed boot camp at the Marine Corps Depot. The ceremony was streamed for family members and friends to view, with the ceremony not being a public event due to the precautions regarding the COVID-19 pandemic.     The Walmart Distribution Center in Shafter, which has seen its opening date pushed back into the spring of 2021, celebrated the Fourth of July with a flag raising and a fundraiser benefiting the Children's Miracle Network.     PrimeX, a local grower, producer and international trader, has shut down until July 3 after 31 employees tested positive for the Covid-19 virus. A worker first tested positive for the virus on June 10.
