Successful fun-raiser for PEO Chapter JT

With Nancy Neufeld as the auctioneer, bidding was lively at the PEO Chapter JT's annual fundraiser. Everyone was in a festive mood and the coffers are once again full.

The fundraiser was held at the decorated home of Priscilla Neufeld, who had each of her 60 creche sets in its special place, setting the tone for the luncheon. Co-hostess was Barbara Ware. President Barbara Funk conducted the meeting, leading up to the auction.

The club's theme this year is "Life is a Song. Love the Lyrics." Cheryl Woody presented the first program with "Life is a Song. Let's Sing it Together," at the home of Pat Ketcherside, following a 4 o'clock tea. The next program was Frances Sinclair and Ione Lollar sharing "A Few of My Favorite Things" following a luncheon at the home of Sharon Nicol, with co-hostess Alice Annin.

Laura Wolfe revealed "For Once in My Life" following dessert at the home of Carol Olsen, with Carol Janzen as co-hostess.

Coming in the New Year are "You Light Up My Life" by Penny Skeels, "I Am Woman" by Priscilla Neufeld and "Inch by Inch, Row by Row, I'm Gonna Make My Garden Grow" by Pat Ketcherside.

The next major event will be the evening BIL Christmas Party at the home of Mike and Tami Hankins -- the Husband's Meeting -- and another festive occasion.

PEO is a philanthropic and educational organization dedicated to the advancement of women and girls.
