Shy is ready for that new home

Hello friends, meet Shy. Shy is a gold with black shepherd mix who is about 3 years old and weighs about approximately 50 pounds. He owners surrendered this sweet girl because she kept jumping their chain length fence. We would recommend a tall fence-in yard with a gate to help keep Shy safe.

Shy has adjusted well at the shelter and has done well meeting new dogs. This girl has had a few litters and she is ready to be a single lady. When you first meet Shy, she may be a little shy at first, but with a little attention and affection, her true personality comes out.

She loves to play and enjoys chasing after toys. Some basic training and simple commands would be great for her and help her with her confidence. If you would like to meet Shy, come out to the Shafter Animal Shelter.

If you have not already, view our home page at shaftercritters.petfinder.com. Our website will answer many questions that you may have about adopting from us. We cannot recommend any dog as "good with children" since there is no way to be certain that they are safe for children. The age of the animal is an estimation that has been based on the knowledge and training of the shelter staff.

If you have further question. email [email protected] or call 661-746-2140. The shelter, 18849 Shafter Ave., is open Monday-Saturday 9 a.m. to 3 p.m., Wednesdays 1-7 p.m.
