Obituary: Gloria Lynn Stinnett

Gloria Stinnett was born in Shafter on Nov. 23, 1941 to Ernest and Ethel (Bergman) Schultz. She attended local schools and was an alumni of Shafter High. Gloria was married to Hank Stinnett in May of 1951 and together they raised their son, Mark. She worked for many years at Bank of America as a teller.

Gloria was a loving mother and grandmother and enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren, teaching them to play her favorite board games. After retirement, Gloria had time to play "Words with Friends" and enjoyed watching her favorite television shows such as "Days of Our Lives," "Jeopardy" and professional tennis matches.

Gloria passed away on March 8, 2019 in Bakersfield.

She is survived by her son, Mark and his wife, Amy; grandchildren Jenny and Matthew; brothers Leroy Schultz (Cathy), Doug Schultz (Linda) and David Schultz (Selena Apodaca); sister Teresa Soranno (John); and many nieces and nephews.
