LAST WEEK: A 1954 Buick was being towed out of the Coopers Flower Shop after a man who was a deaf mute could not hear the motor running and made a misjudgment. Supposedly he backed his car all the way around out of the Shafter Motel and into the front of the shop. Photo taken by high schooler Bobby Reeves for the Shafter Police Department in 1951 or 1952.
