Pet of the Week - June 6, 2019

Meet our beautiful girl named Irene! Irene is a black and white border collie mix who is guessed to be around 2 years old and weighs 54 pounds. If you are looking for a fun, active, playful dog then she might just be the dog for you. Irene is very sweet and a social girl who does well when going out on walks. She is a powerful girl so a strong handler would be ideal. Irene has passed all of her Safer Dog Evaluation tests and is now available for adoption. We have observed her to do well with other dogs of similar size. We would not recommend Irene to be around cats. She enjoys playing fetch with balls and toys. We would love to see Irene adopted to a family who has a tall fenced in yard, to help keep her safe. You can meet Irene at the Shafter Animal Shelter.
