Pastor's Corner - Aug. 29, 2019

Do you find it difficult to find peace in a chaotic world? At the rhythm that our world is spinning it is difficult to pump the brakes and simply breathe. I know that I have been there various times in my life.

Peace is listed as a virtue of the fruit of the Spirit because God knew that we would face chaotic times.

As the Holy Spirit does His perfect work in us, we can rest assured that we can find ourselves in tribulation but yet be at peace in our soul. Unless we don't find peace internally, we will never see peace in our world because of the internal wars in our soul.

As we run to Jesus whose yoke is easy and burden is light (Mat 11:28-30), we get to abide in Christ (John 15) and we discover that peace isn't a feeling, but a person. Do you need peace in your life? Do you feel like a training astronaut and you are spinning out of control?

Brother and sister, come to Jesus, and He will give you rest. You will find the peace that surpasses all understanding in Christ alone.
