Milestones: Tara Rokey, Michael Garcia engaged

Carmen Alcala Ontiveros of Bakersfield is pleased to announce the engagement of her son Michael (Keplinger) Garcia to Tara Rokey. Michael is the grandson of Sarah Alcala of Shafter.

Michael attended Shafter High School, later graduating from the California Culinary Academy in San Francisco. He currently works as an executive chef at Margo's in Santa Monica.

Tara is the daughter of Joe and Kathy Rokey of Sabetha, Kansas. Tara graduated from Sabetha High School and then from Kansas State University. She is currently employed at Edwards Jones Investments in Newport Beach, Calif.

The couple plans to get married on Saturday, Oct. 10, 2020, in Sabetha, Kansas, and after marriage, Tara and Michael will be residing in Los Angeles.
