Pastor's Corner: The on-time God

God does not slumber or sleep. He is aware of all things. He sees time different than we do. 2 Peter 3:8 says one day is with the Lord as a thousand

years, and a thousand years as one day. Peter was warning his hearers that in the last days scoffers would ridicule the promise of the Lords coming. He

taught us that a flood did happen in Gods time.

Thousands and even millions of years are nothing to God. Jesus told the Jews, before Abraham was, I am. He is the same yesterday, today and

forever. God is not affected by time. God moves according to His own schedule. He is the on-time God. God is on time to His provision.

Philippians 4:19 says my God shall supply all your need. No matter how hard times may get, He is the on-time God. The Bible says I have never seen

the righteous forsaken or his seed begging bread.

I have pastored 32 years at our church and I have seen God meet the needs of many people, especially the widows. God is on time in His provision.

He is an on time God when we are in trouble. It takes light a little over 4 years traveling at 186,000 miles per second to reach us from our nearest star. When I’m in trouble, Ps. 46:1 says God is a very present help in trouble. It’s as if He just shows up. The three Hebrew boys would tell you that when facing trouble, God is right on time.

He’s an on-time God with perfect timing. You cannot hurry God, be patient. His timing was perfect with Lazarus. Lazarus had been dead four days and people wondered where the Lord was. To the family he was days late, but with God four days seemingly late is right on time. Our times are in his hands. He’s right on time.

His return will be right on time. Many say the Lord delays his coming. It will be right on time. His return is man’s hope. Keep trusting God in this crazy world. Fight the good fight of faith. The Lord shall return for his church. He’s an on time God.
