The Wasco SAL members received new bikes as a part of a donation program from the Wasco State Prison.
20 years ago: Dec. 27, 2000
The SHS varsity soccer team won first place in the Graces Classic Tournament. The final game played in the tournament was Shafter against Wasco. The game was decided in sudden death and was won with Robert Soriano's winning goal. The final score was 3-2.
40 years ago: Dec. 24, 1980
The SHS football team presented Arlie Smith, Jan Stubbe and Don Burns with burl wooden clocks. The team was runner-up in the Valley Championship.
