Pet of the Week: Skip is looking for a family

Skip came in as a stray. He is approximately a 2-year-old male Pit Bull Terrier Mix, and has a medium apricot/beige short coat length.

Skip is slightly timid with strangers, and his behavior will be monitored daily. He is great with other dogs, and he has been tested with large and small dogs.

At the time it is unknown if Skip is house/crate trained. Dogs are not tested with cats and children.

Skip will be available for adoption/rescue on Feb. 1. Additional information is not available at this time. If this is your dog, please contact the shelter right away.

Everyone is welcome to adopt from the facility. Adopters can be from out of town or local.

Call on the day of availability to set up an appointment to visit Skip. First call, first serve. Appointments made before his availability or by email are not available. If he is reclaimed by his owner before his availability, he will be removed from Petfinder immediately.

All dogs will be neutered/spayed once adopted. Depending on the availability of our local vet, it is not a guarantee that the animal will be spayed/neutered the same day

The Wasco Animal Shelter will not accept animal surrenders until further notice.

Rescue is a nonprofit organization with a tax exempt 501(c)(3). If you never pulled from the Wasco Animal Shelter, email the shelter two references and a copy of your 501(c)(3) form.

If you have any questions, call 661-758-7240. The shelter is located at 5409 7th Street.
