The state of the art video scoreboard is one of the best in Kern County.
The Shafter High Generals will celebrate an official grand opening of their new stadium on Homecoming night, Sept. 23, with a variety of activities on the menu.

The nine-lane competition track will allow the school to host high-profile events, such as Valley Championships.
For the price of admission to the game against the Taft Wildcats, attendees will be treated to a video produced by Coach Jerald Pierucci and his crew of students. The video will be played just before the beginning of the game. At halftime of the game, there will be the crowning of the Homecoming Queen and King, a performance by the Shafter High Marching Band, as well as homecoming floats from each class.
There will be a variety of food for sale, along with old yearbooks and Shafter High memorabilia. All of the proceeds will go to student clubs and sports teams.
The stadium has a state of the art nine-lane track, renovated concessions, bleachers, press box, and one of the best video scoreboards in the county. New LED lights connected to the stadium lights that will flash on cue.
The scoreboard has instant replay capabilities, modern graphics, digital messaging and enhanced scoreboard panels.
