S.H.S graduate turned Marine Lance Corporal Edward P. Ballard 19 years old had overseas duties. Japan, Korea and the Philippines were some of the places he traveled aboard the Naval Ship USS Fort McHenry.

Dr. Jong C. Moon M.D. opens his new general practice located at 650 James St., Shafter. Prior to coming to Shafter, he did 4 years of surgical residents at Wyckoff Heights in Brooklyn, New York.
