Pastor's Corner: America's only hope

As the days go forward the world gets more vicious and crazy. 2nd Timothy 3:1 says in the last days perilous times shall come. God said that if we humble ourselves and pray and seek His face and turn from our wicked ways, He would hear us and forgive us and heal our land. It is righteousness that exalts a nation. Sin is a reproach to any people.

To get this country going on the right track, the Continental Congress called for a day of prayer. Once when a critical moment arose during the Civil War, President Abraham Lincoln asked the nation to fast and pray. If we ever needed God, we sure do need Him now!

God is our only hope for this nation. Psalm 9:17 says the wicked shall be turned into hell, and all the nations that forget God. As Jesus stood over Jerusalem and wept one day, I believe it grieves Him that a country that was built upon godly principles does not even blush at their sins. Jer. 6:16 says seek out the old paths and walk therein and you will find rest, but the people said we will not walk therein. Luke 19:14 says we will not have this man reign over us. God is our only hope. Lord help us to humble ourselves and cry out for your mercy.

God is the only hope for our families. The family has been under attack for a long time. There is a spiritual battle going on for your family. Satan is trying to destroy your family, marriage and your children. God is our only hope. He wants to dwell in your home and family. Psalm 127:1 says unless the Lord build the house, they labor in vain that build it.

With all the drugs and violence the Lord is our only hope for our kids. Jesus said let the little children come to me and do not forbid them. I know by experience that if you raise your children in the ways of the Lord, you will not be sorry. God is the only hope for our families.

Lord, you are our only hope; come quickly. No matter what problem you are facing, look to God, He is your only hope. He said come unto me all you that labor and are heavy laden, and I will give you rest. God is America's only hope.
