Cougars of the Month at TJ

Thomas Jefferson Middle School selected six students as Cougars of the Month. They are chosen based on grades, behavior, overall participation and attitude during school.

6th Grade Cougars of the Month

Noah Gutierrez believes he was selected because he is always respectful, kind and willing to help others. He excels in math and is most proud of getting elected sergeant at arms for the 2022-23 school year. In the future, he plans to be an engineer.

Evekeli Carreno believes she was selected because she is responsible, respectful and does her work. She excels in math/ English Language Arts, and she is most proud of all the students at TJ for keeping the school together. In the future, she plans to be a traveling nurse.

7th Grade Cougars of the Month

#3 Leo Mora believes he was selected because he does not get in trouble and gets his work done, whether present or absent. He excels in math, and he is most proud of students keeping the school clean. In the future, he hopes to get scholarships to go to college.

8th Grade Cougars of the Month

Isaiah Gutierrez believes he was selected because he is nice to others and is willing to help them. He states that he excels in math and history and is most proud of getting all honors classes. He hopes to be a teacher and get a doctorate in the future.

Lessly Nava believes she was elected because she has good grades, stays out of trouble and follows the school rules. She stated she excels in STEM (science, technology, engineering, math) and is most proud of all the students, including herself, for keeping the school together. In the future, she plans to graduate and be successful in life.
