Patricia Ann Miller

May 2, 1938 – Sept. 23, 2023

Patricia Ann Miller, of Shafter, was welcomed into the arms of her Lord and Savior on Sept. 23, 2023, with all her children by her side.

Patricia was born May 2, 1938, in Santa Anna, Texas, to parents, James and Iona Price. At a young age, she moved to San Francisco, along with her parents and younger sister, Jackie. They resided in San Francisco during World War II, until eventually settling in Kern County around the age of 9.. She remained in Kern County for the majority of her life. Upon graduation from Bakersfield High School's class of 1956, she married Odie Miller, the love of her life.

Patricia and Odie made their home together in Shafter until Odie went to be with Jesus in 2010, after nearly 55 years of marriage. Together, they raised three children: Pamala, Max and Lindy.

Patricia was a homemaker extraordinaire her entire adult life and made it a welcoming place for all, especially her husband, children and their spouses, grandchildren and great grandchildren.

She was a member of the Wasco Christian Church for several decades, and most recently was a member of Christ's Church of the Valley in Bakersfield.

Tricia is survived by her children and their spouses, Pam Allen (Marty), Max Miller (Colleen) and Lindy Almberg (Eric); she is also survived by her sister, Jackie "Sissy" Mattson and her family. Additionally, she is survived by seven grandchildren and 15 great grandchildren, and many friends and church family. Patricia is predeceased by her parents, James and Iona Price; her husband, Odie Miller; her grandson, Daniel Miller; and her brother-in-law, Don Mattson.

Services will be Friday, Oct. 13, 2023, at the Bakersfield National Cemetery, at 10:45 a.m. A Celebration of Life will follow the service at Hodel's Restaurant in Bakersfield. Services are being handled by Peters Funeral Home, Shafter.
