Coin-O-Matic expands services

Coin-O-Matic is a self-service laundromat that recently launched a wash, dry and fold service, as well as pick-up and delivery options. It is a family-owned business that Jorge Pimentel, Armando and Vanessa Ramirez took over in 2022.

Armando said in an interview, "Launching these new services will be convenient for customers on the go. We can pick up their dirty laundry and deliver it clean. We'll serve Wasco, Shafter, Delano, Bakersfield, McFarland and Lost Hills."

"For example, If you go on vacation and don't have time, call us, and we will take care of it for a very reasonable price and a 10% discount on your first order."

Vanessa said, "So far, we have been very successful because when we got the laundromat, it was in okay condition, but we have had 10 new washers, tables and chairs for clients to sit on. We also upgraded the lighting, added carts and painted the facility."

"We fixed the soap dispenser and the radio to entertain our customers while they wait to wash their clothing, making it a more pleasant place for our clients."

The range of services Coin-O-Matic offers is diverse. Jorge said, "We do anything from comforters to pet beds to sleeping bags. It's not just clothing; we do uniforms and offer variety."

Vanessa said they stand out. "It's our cleanliness, and it's an original laundromat. We're going on our 60 years. It's been the longest of the three laundromats in Wasco, conveniently located off Hwy 46."

"Our customer service is great. They feel comfortable giving us feedback and thanking us for the upgrades. They are grateful for the new amenities."

Armando said he was inspired to launch the business because he has always been fascinated by the laundromat business. "It's always been one of my goals, and we accomplished it." He added that being a business owner is "Night and day from being a regular worker to being a business owner."

All three are raised in Wasco and say they love the town. When asked why they chose to open their business here, Jorge said, "We wanted to reinvest in the community and jumped on the opportunity when it arose.

"We are here to serve the community with all your laundry needs. We invite you to try us out, and we promise you will not be disappointed."
