    Beginning March 11, masks will be recommended but not mandated at the Richland School District. Superintendent Rosa Romero sent a letter to parents regarding the change. Gov. Gavin Newsom recently announced he was updating the policy for mask wearing indoors for public schools. “Mask wearing is still strongly recommended and is an option for every student or staff member who wishes to wear one at any time,” Romero said in the letter.
